After spending about 10 years in a temporary campus at Yupia, Papumpare, National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh is now shifted to the permanent campus at Jote, about 20 km away from Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Since the new campus at Jote is fully residential, all academic and administrative set-ups along with Director's Bungalow, faculty and staff quarters, students' hostels and the Institute medical unit are accommodated within the campus. Accordingly, the Institute transport services has been restructured exclusively based on the requirements of Jote campus. Considering the hilly location of the present campus, it is intended to run buses of mini size within the campus; however large buses are hired to ply from this hill-side campus to places like railway station, schools, banks and shopping malls at plain lands. Besides, an ambulance is owned by the Institute, while hired four-wheelers are engaged to cater services to the campus residents as and when required. The existing schedule of bus services along with the name and telephone numbers of drivers are given below for information to all concerned.
1) Monday to Friday - two buses, (a) one from Yupia at 7.00am to Jote via railway station and back by 4.00pm following the same route.

(b) one bus, from Nirjuli at 7.00am to Jote via Naharlagun and back by 4.00pm following the same route.

2) Monday to Friday - 3 (three) number of buses will ply from the quarters to the hospital via hostel and academic building. The said bus service will be available every 1 hour interval starting from 8.30am and ending at 4.30pm.

3) Saturday and Sunday - buses from Jote at 9.00am to Itanagar and back by 3.00pm to Jote.
