Dr. Rajen Pudur is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh, Jote. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He holds a PhD and M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from NERIST and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from North Gujarat University. He has been associated with NIT Arunachal Pradesh since 2012 and has over two decades of combined experience in teaching, engineering practice, research, and academic administration. His primary research interests include renewable energy systems, micro-hydro power generation, Self-Excited Induction Generator (SEIG)-based rural electrification, renewable energy integration, power quality improvement, power electronic converters, and control of renewable-energy-based systems. His research particularly focuses on developing sustainable and reliable energy solutions for remote and rural communities. Dr Pudur has successfully undertaken and contributed to several research and development projects funded through agencies including SERB/DST, TEQIP-III, and CERT-DST. His current research includes edge-of-grid micro-hydro power systems using SEIGs and renewable-energy-based skill development initiatives for underserved communities. He has supervised numerous postgraduate and doctoral scholars in areas such as micro-hydro generation, SEIG systems, power quality, renewable-energy integration, active power filters, virtual synchronous generators, and power electronics. He has authored numerous research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, including publications in SCI/SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals. His recent research addresses intelligent control, machine learning, grid-forming inverters, power quality, and advanced micro-hydro systems. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Pudur has held several important administrative responsibilities at NIT Arunachal Pradesh, including Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dean (Academic & Examination), Chief Warden, and Registrar (i/c). He has also received best paper awards and supported the research achievements of his scholars through IEEE travel grants. His academic and professional contributions reflect a strong commitment to advancing renewable-energy technologies, strengthening research and innovation, and supporting sustainable development in the Himalayan and North-Eastern regions of India.
