Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship program of the Government of India aimed at transforming rural India through the active participation of higher educational institutions. It focuses on bridging the gap between academic knowledge and rural development by encouraging students and faculty to engage with local communities and work on sustainable solutions.
Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), the National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh has adopted five villages in the Papum Pare district to promote sustainable rural development and community engagement. The adopted villages are: Jote 1 Jote 2 Kampo Poma Sangdupota Through this initiative, students and faculty members actively engage with these villages to identify local challenges and implement practical solutions. The focus areas include sanitation, education, health awareness, renewable energy, and livelihood enhancement. Regular field visits, surveys, and awareness programs are conducted to ensure inclusive growth and improve the quality of life in these rural communities. This initiative also provides students with valuable real-world experience and a deeper understanding of rural India.
