The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of NIT Arunachal Pradesh promotes innovation, startup culture, and intellectual property creation among students and faculty.
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) is an initiative by the Ministry of Education under the guidance of the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell to systematically foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup ecosystem in higher education institutions across India. The primary objective of IIC is to encourage students and faculty to engage in innovative thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial activities. It provides a structured platform for institutions to organize innovation-related programs, workshops, hackathons, and incubation support aligned with national development goals.
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh actively promotes innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students and faculty members. The council organizes various activities such as ideation workshops, startup awareness programs, expert talks, and innovation challenges to nurture a problem-solving mindset. It also encourages students to develop prototypes, participate in national-level competitions, and transform ideas into viable startups. Through continuous engagement and collaboration, the IIC at NIT Arunachal Pradesh plays a vital role in building an innovation-driven ecosystem within the institute.

Showcasing the creativity and technical excellence of our IIC community.
Developed a domestic stove using biomass pellets for rural and eco-friendly cooking solutions. The project focuses on sustainable energy usage and reducing dependency on conventional fuels.
A low-cost toy developed as part of innovation activities to promote creative learning and hands-on skills among students. Recognized in TechToy 2020 competition.
